5 Days!

I cannot belive this precious little boy will be completing his first year of Kindergarten on Friday! It seems like just yesterday that I sobbed uncontrollably for the first month that I had to drop you off at school.


He had the most amazing teachers this year and I'm not sure that any teacher will ever live up to the impression that Mrs. Oliver and Mrs. Mary made on him.

He has had such a fun year and learned so much! He is 5 and he reads and he sounds out words to spell. He counts by 2's, 5's, and 10's.. It is amazing all of the things he's learned this year! He's won academic awards and gotten all "Os" (outstanding) on his report card (except for in behavior he may have gotten a "needs improvement" in that area). 

He has his "farewell to Kindergarten," play on Wednesday and I'm sure it will be traumatic for me and I'm sure I'll use an entire box of kleenex!

Spring Allergies

Cough, sore throat, heavy chest, runny nose, and water eyes. I can't take Benadryl because I have NO tolerance and it knocks me out.. I can't do Insanity feeling like this and right now ice cream is the only thing my throat can handle!

-0.4 lbs

Seriously that's my reward for drinking that nasty green tea? I was at least hoping for a pound or two.. I never realized how much of a difference it made in my Shakeology to add half a banana or a teaspoon of peanut butter but I definitely realized that while I love Shakeology with my little additions without them it's just kinda tolerable (are Beachbody coaches allowed to say that?). I did some Turbo Fire HIIT 15 and Abs 10 (that Abs 10 workout is like 10 minutes of torture, it's worse than Ab Ripper X AND Insane Abs). Off to make my 2nd Shakeology of the day :).

Shakeology Cleanse

The Shakeology cleanse starts tomorrow! I think I can handle it, Shakeology does an amazing job of filling me up and keeping me full. I think my biggest challenge will be drinking green tea because I HATE green tea but people  claim to lose 5-10 lbs in three days on this cleanse.. I don't care to lose that much but I feel really bloated lately.. My weight isn't up but I feel like my face looks really "full" lately, exhibit a:
Maybe I'm just retaining water or something but either way I'm hoping the Shakeology cleanse goes to work right away on my chipmunk cheeks!

Happy Mother's Day!!

Bachelorette party and Mother's Day in the same weekend! Recipe for disaster right? I actually didn't do too bad! We went to Red Lobster for dinner last night and I could have done better but I didn't eat a lot and shrimp is pretty healthy anyway (plus I got a MAJOR calorie burn with the HIIT 45 yesterday!!). I also only had one drink!

Today I had Mexican for lunch, such  a treat. I could eat Mexican food every single day and never ever get tired of it. Chips with salsa and guac are my weakness though I could eat that as a meal at least 5 times a week!

 Tomorrow I'll be back on track though and hit the ground running with some Insanity and P90x early in the morning.. Tomorrow is grocery shopping day though and food is always what I struggle with. I can work out everyday for a few hours a day but I LOVE food, ha! I always feel like I make the same thing over and over and over again, I mean you can only "enjoy," baked/grilled chicken so many times in one week, right? Anyone have any amazing recipes to share? Any healthy food blogs that you've gotten good ideas from.. My kids and husband would LOVE a change I'm sure of it!

Cheeseburgers :)

You may hear me say, "unhealthy food make me fat," or "unhealthy food makes me lethargic," or even, "unhealthy food makes me sick.," BUT you will never hear me say, "unhealthy food doesn't even taste good to me anymore." I've heard plenty of "health nuts," say that, what?! I believe in the rule of 90%/10% since I'm not on a "diet," I try to not think of it as falling off the wagon but more eating good healthy food 90% of the time and I reminded myself of that last night after I had done Insanity and P90x yesterday morning and had eaten healthy all day.. I had a cheeseburger, not just any cheeseburger but a delicious, greasy, Ferrells cheeseburger and it was AMAZING!! The scale was not kind to me this morning either, it went u a pound! Really?! An entire lb for ONE freaking cheeseburger, it wasn't even a double! Whatever! I kicked butt today to make up for it though so I should be back to normal tomorrow. I have a bachelorette party to go to on Saturday and then the wedding is next weekend. I'm sure at the party I won't eat perfect and I might even drink a little, (I've drank once since my daughter was born and she's almost 3) soooo I might do a Shakeology cleanse Monday-Wednesday to get back on track.. Has anyone done one of these? Is it good to drop 4 or 5 lbs?

"I'm smilin' because I LOVE it!! "




AND because I'm done! (YES that picture is post Insanity I do not run around with my hair a mess, no makeup, and sweat glistening skin, at least not on weekdays, ha) I thought after month 2 of Insanity I could go back to month 1 and do some of those short workouts and it be easy peasy, WRONG! I push myself harder, I sweat more, my form is better, and I burn less calories! WTH?! Less than 500 calories on Plyo today, whatever I feel AMAZING!

Y'all see those boxes and that lovely black bag on my couch? That my friends is my Shakeology (thank God my husband drank the last of my chocolate and I'm not in a hurry to taste Greenberry) and my Beach Body coach's kit! Sometimes I hesitate to take business opportunities because I'm scared of failure. I can NOT sell anything but I can be sold anything, not a good combo for our bank account, ha. I hope my passion for Beach Body will help me not only sell this product but will help me help others reach their own fitness goals!

Okay off to make dinner. Baked chicken nuggets, YUM! If you've never made them, they're easier than frying, healthier than frying, and taste great.. (and I'm from Kentucky, I LOVE fried chicken!!)

-remove fat from boneless/skinless chicken cut into nuggets
-beat one egg with 1/4 cup of water
-mix panko (japanese bread crumbs) with seasoning (garlic, pepper is what i use)
-roll chicken nuggets in eggs then in panko mix
-30 minutes on 375*

Panko makes a HUGE difference. I've used cornflakes, bread crumbs, and shake and bake but Panko is in a class all by itself it's the only thing that will give our chicken the crunch of being fried..

I promise not to slack :)

Okay I'm hopping back on the blog train and this time I promise not to jump off. Like the new title? I'm not going to be doing any swimsuit modeling anytime soon!! I am going to try to post regularly about food, exercise, weight loss, and my NEW SUPER FUN JOB as a Beachbody coach! Today I'm pretty pleased the workout was great, Insanity Pure Cardio and Turbo Fire HIIT 15. The food choices were good, I had my Shakeology which sets me up for success! I am going to TRY to be a daily blogger make this into sort of a food/exercise journal that y'all can follow and give some insight into what it takes to go from baby body to beach body! :)
